Academic Program

Academic School Year :
The International School of Kuantan, the academic year is divided into two semesters, each further segmented into two quarters. Beginning in August and concluding in June, our academic calendar ensures a minimum of 185 instructional days. This structured approach fosters an environment conducive to academic excellence and holistic student development, emphasizing rigorous learning experiences and ample opportunities for growth and achievement.

Class Timetable:

The school day commences promptly at 8.25 am with a whole-school assembly on Mondays. A brief morning break from 10.25 am to 10.55 am offers a 30-minute respite, followed by a lunch break at 12.55 pm lasting 35 minutes.

 

Each day unfolds with six classes, each spanning 55 minutes. Extracurricular Activities (ECA) are slotted for Mondays and Thursdays, adding diversity to the weekly routine.

 

Fridays stand out as a departure from the norm, concluding at noon to provide an early start to the weekend. This intentional scheduling not only allows all students to enjoy an early break but also accommodates our Muslim friends, providing them with the necessary time for their Friday prayers.
